I really don’t recommend going to the Minetest Discord. I think it consistently is the worst part of the Minetest community: immature, toxic, and juvenile. It is not a good way to enter that otherwise excellent community. But more importantly to note, there is a radical left political bias there that masquerades as a fair moderation team that will censor anyone who murmurs contrary to its own manifesto. Double standards apply. Beware.

Unfortunately, this otherwise useful resource and fun community is infected with typical idiocy. Discord’s pitifully poor platform privacy policies notwithstanding…

Well, there’re many people from different cultures in minetest discord. And the platform adds to the atmostphere. Perhaps we can look for useful information about minetest in it. Having the minetest official website and contentdb is enough though.
