I recently brought up the idea of adopting a color palette standard so that we can have a standarized set of colors modders, developers, and texture artists can use to contribute content to MeseCraft. There is a skilled artist in the Minetest community that published a palette that he uses, Zughy 32 Palette. https://lospec.com/palette-list/zughy-32
Adopting a palette would reduce complexity of design. So that it’s easier and less stressful to create textures. Colors are predefined and you simply need to select colors from the palette and design your texture.
I think Zughy’s texture pack is pretty good. The colors look a bit washed/water colored. They aren’t very bright. It creates an aesthetic that not everyone might like.
Any thoughts on this? Or this style? I’d appreciate some opinions.
