I had it freeze on me yesterday but I figured it was my PC, has I had just updated it and it was running very slowly until restarting.
Anyways, I just restarted the server. Maybe try again now, let me know if it continues.
I don’t think we have spaghetti in MeseCraft. I think the server you’re playing on added it and its a server specific bug.
Mob spawns are too low. Ive gotten a few complaints in regards to this and i will up it soon. Just been extraordinarily busy recently. Itll be fixed asap.
Seasonal mobs run a date and time check on spawn to see of theyre in season. Not the best way to do this, but i havent come up with a working alternative to check time and date before the mob spawn parameters is defined.
I’m happy to hear that. Please keep me posted on how that’s working out. I’d like him to be able to get in. Maybe the tablets have a harder time loading MeseCraft recently and time out when connecting.
Sounds like he is IP banned somehow or is blocked. Does he use a VPN?

OK. The depth is -161.5, which should be the abandoned city under the surface. I’m aware of this issue and will attempt to get it fixed for the next major update. I’ll try to replace it with something more interesting. Thanks for reporting it 🙂 Welcome to MeseCraft.com hope you stick around.
Can you get the node name of one of the chests? (hover over it and press F5 debug menu) I suspect maybe it’s the chests in geomoria which are showing up as wood chests with no slots. Need to fix this then. I just want to make sure its not lootpack chests or anything in dfcaverns.

I dropped groups as a feature and just decided to merge the discussions we had. I moved it into the forums so it was preserved and we still had a copy of that brainstorming. Gave that subject it’s own dedicated forum too.
The way this was written, was like perfect customer service lol. Good people skills, carzomg.
The guide NPC is an idea I really like but I haven’t found any mods that can allow for discussions. Does anyone know of any? Maybe we can ask in the Minetest forums.
But in Terraria, there are NPCs you can talk and trade with. They even have quests. Would love to implement a similar system like that. That one server has a pretty good system like that but I can’t remember the name of it right now.
Why not actually make rockets – i suppose they would have to be teleported from sub-moon space to mars orbit at a point but there are 2 existing things that come to mind this could be based on:
- https://github.com/stujones11/meshnode – this essentially allows to build vehicles out of nodes
- https://github.com/aerkiaga/nodeverse/tree/main/mods/nv_ships – the rocket part of nodeverse – last i checked it did somewhat work already
Or even better you could have a launch pad where you can configure the trajectory so you end up in a specific space dimension / layer

I could make a weather mod some time with about 0 network lag (a couple packets to turn downfall on/off for a player, otherwise radio silence).
I just recently fixed weather in mineclone which could probably be adapted very easily since its more or less just particle spawners. Would just have to rip out the skybox and nether dust stuff which is rather mcl specific ig ^^

I just distrust a program to reliable form proper semantics
I tend to trust/have faith in people vs relying on a program to do it for us with perfect accuracy.
Odie brought up a good point about wool for beds. and milk. But I think since these are essentials, maybe we can just use markets and have players sell items to noobs near spawn or we can consider cotton, etc?
