There are 3 Mesecraft servers, the 2 previously mentioned and Survival Multiplayer #2 (Beta Tests).

A suggestion was to add a lava priv limiting lava placement above sea level to a chosen few with the priv.
Aw man, I need to replenish my candle supply!:-) How about elf skeletons, zombie grinches, slime box presents, or Scrooge ghasts.
They relocated their spawn point to a high level above the main village and made it a bit tricky to find a way down. This minimizes the number of trolls and griefing. Maybe we should implement something similar. I’ve been working on a project in Ael Post and frequently attacked by hostile new players.
Idk if it’s possible, maybe ‘trasher’ or whatever name currently using, can be trapped in a secure protected build, cave, etc., when dying wouldn’t be sent back to spawn.
That is the purpose of this forum topic, suggestion and discussion. Brainstorming ideas and listening to the pros and cons. The thread was addressing helping newbies and challenging veterans by supplying encouragement and support. Ho and similar builds make the server attractive and an inspiration to new players with a variety of skills. How we supply incentive is the focus, as komodo posted earlier, ” I’m kind of glad to hear there was a bit of a learning curve, it’s what makes us feel we’ve made progress or gotten better.”
Recently, Keihdra gave me a build tour which was rather impressive. It made me think of a way to show appreciation for master players, eg. The Mineman Award. I know advanced players may gain additional responsibility as assistant admins but maybe a Hall of Fame or something that provides recognition. Kiopy7, AlexGIF, and others, I would consider master builders and I could be wrong but Mineman would be the standard barer on this server.
But lightening doesn’t post signs! 🙂 Turkey reconstruction ( cobble, cobble ) done. Are new villages spawning? I don’t recall Middle Aspen last time I was at AlexGIF’s base.
It’s unfortunate but a troll has destroyed 2 villages, Middle Aspen and Forestworth near AlexGIF’s base just northwest of Ael Post. Posted signs ‘ Crime Area ‘ and ‘ Arsenist ‘. In the process of cobble repairs would like volunteer players to ‘ dress up ‘ the unappealing cobble buildings.
We all appreciate the improvements to Falldale, this is our goal to increase the enjoyment and creativity of the players. Protection is important in private areas but basic resources in common public villages, when used respectfully, can encourage development of more distances away from spawn. Glad you’ve joined the team.
Smoke appears as you move from one side of the village to the other, so that may be just a distance issue but the red error messages when removing or replacing armor continue. ERROR [Main] Insufficient element (10).
Amicus1 and deathbreaker are being griefed in the new Ho area. Granted they’re not protecting their builds but they believe it’s a player that’s able to cloak their name while logged in. Certainly not any regulars.
No, you were not logged on at that time which made me wonder more what the rants were about. I thought maybe a trap on your base but then I said to myself, Nah, just crazy!
Yo Ho Ho is Green Giant country, No Ho is open to the public and So Ho is private! ( I can’t help myself )
Ael Post ( spawn ) is the default village. Only been to Ho when invited, can’t speak for others. Maybe some signs, ” No Trespassing, Invited Visitors only!”.
Ok then, famous international horse race names. Ho Grand National, Ho World Cup, Ho Steeplechase Stakes or the French, Prix de L’Ho de Triomphe.
A more appropriate name would be related to horses not bicycles for example ‘ Ho’s Breeder’s Cup ‘.
This may make play more enjoyable for novices. After putting effort into high grade armor, some may not have the motivation to continue if they lose it. Minetest is already more difficult than Minecraft having to go much deeper to obtain premium ores. I had Christmas armor and have lost it a number of times so I stay with easier replacement. We don’t want to be a server with many players but I would like to see us grow a bit.
Glad Ho is good, if you chat with Joe, ask if he has any objections to T.H.R.I.V.E. working on the unprotected area of Odeltem near his pyramid.

Btw, I was in the library building checking village guides for about 10 minutes when the disappearance occurred in Springland Hill. Completed roof.
It doesn’t appear to be fire or griefing, in both cases Cherryedge and Springland buildings and farm gardens were gone wood and plants complete. Fire usually leaves some blocks as for griefing, it’s much easier getting wood from trees. No chests or portals in these areas. You may be correct but I suspect a glitch in the program. Thanks for following up.
Same issue just happened with Springland Hills, one Day market bldg and one farm garden affected. Not player griefing. Server program needs to be checked. I’ve replanted garden and rebuilt outer walls with red cobble still needs roof.
I scan the markets regularly, as you know, and fill any orders from available inventory or search my current biome area for those requested items readily available. You can add me to protection blocks as I may have need. I think it’s great that you give so much thought to your work and team participation! Everything in your report sounds good to me.
Odie, you mentioned vending machines, if you need items to sell on Barrowston, let me know. We can also coordinate on markets that are in villages.
Odie, don’t stress over Barrowston, it’s only you and I working on that village and whatever you do is ok with me! Otherwise, it’s only necessary keep the players updated when they are directly affected by suggested changes. You are a valued player and the game should be fun. As with all things issues will arise and will be worked out as long as we respect each other.
Day and Night Marketplace a important resource! Many players like to specialize in certain items, others may be in villages near certain biomes, etc. It is important that when you need items whether or not you find them for sale, post your order so that those players that may have what you need can fill your request. Even if your new and don’t have any coins, place an order and I believe the system will accept ‘0’ or ‘0.1’ for a ‘Buy’ price, just don’t abuse players generosity. The Day Market is used more but check Night also ( they do not share ). These markets are available in most villages, some may have Night only.
Team volunteers as I posted previously, communication is the key. Keep players informed with project updates regularly on the forum and similarly players ( admin too )Â please post your opinions pro or con! Or objective is to have a server that is fun for all. Thanks.
Great to see your feedback! It is never our intention to intrude in other player’s build. If I new you felt that way, it would never have been implemented. Secondly, I don’t know why Ael Post was never protected as was Misthall in Centeria. I would venture a guess that that lack of active advanced builders at the time of reset may be the reason, even though admin could have made it so. Lastly, yes floating walkways don’t offer the best curb appeal and could be improved going forward. Initially necessary to avoid mobs, especially boomers which devastate buildings. Communication is the key among players and team volunteers. Thanks again.
Decor items should be the priority, oasis et all. I’m ok with the present mobs of sand zombies, lava slime and gator / sharks in the water areas.Let’s not forget Kiopy7’s boomer fan club! 🙂
Market viewing screen needs either to be larger or expandable so you can see both columns completely. Now you can see the left column but the right is partially off screen.
Translation – as you see Odie has to convert to English. There are translator mods available for chats on the server an important consideration when players are international.
